Analysis of the match between Brentford and Everton
Brentford head into Matchday 32 with mixed emotions. While a four-match unbeaten run sounds positive, three consecutive draws have slowed the “Bees” down at a crucial stage in the race for European qualification. More concerning is the noticeable dip in their attacking form, having failed to score in three of their last five matches. In their recent clash with Leeds, Brentford generated just 0.46 xG — an extremely low figure for a team currently sitting in the Premier League’s top seven.
Once a stronghold that delivered 26 of their 46 points this season, Brentford’s home ground no longer provides the same advantage. They are now winless in their last four matches at the Gtech Community Stadium, significantly reducing their home-field edge.
On the other hand, Everton are showing strong momentum. Since Matchday 19, they have collected 21 points — a tally only behind Arsenal and Manchester United in the same period. Notably, Everton’s away form has been even more impressive, with 24 points earned on the road.
In terms of head-to-head record, David Moyes’ side are far from inferior, having gone unbeaten in their last three away matches against Brentford. With eight goals scored in their last four games, Everton’s attack is clearly in form, making it difficult for Brentford to secure all three points at home.
